I am wife to Bryan Michael Maes, and mother to our three children; Maron Elizabeth, Jackson Scott, and Katherine Ann Michelle. I am desperately trying to cherish each moment in my roles, as you never know when it will be your last day in them. I am blessed by God and my husband to work full time in these roles, at home, and it is something I have dreamed of since I was a teenager. I’ve entitled my Blog “This Beautiful Mess” because this world is indeed a mess of sin and corruption, but there is beauty to be found everywhere in it, by God’s grace and redemptive power. I can assure you I fail daily in my attempts at holiness and Christ-likeness. But we will always fail in our own strength. The main purpose of this Blog is one of encouragement, and just ideas and updates for practical, every day life. If you are downcast, confused, or just plain tired, I hope you find some rest and relief. I desire to share what I am learning and experiencing in my own life through trials, sin, happiness or sadness for the purpose of edifying my readers and letting them know they are not alone. I would ask that you please refrain from comments which are unedifying and do not have a goal in edifying others. This does not mean in any way that I expect you to agree with everything I say, or that I am not open to questions and comments that challenge me or others, so long as they edify and show a Christ-like attitude. I am not your husband, mother, father or boss, or in any other way your authority. I am your friend, your confidant, your fellow sister in Christ, simply hoping to give you my shoulder when the journey becomes too long and you need a place to rest. My hands are pretty full these days, so please be patient with any responses to detailed comments/questions, but I just can’t wait to get them! Enjoy, and be blessed!
