As my children grow, I get the pleasure of seeing them reach new milestones and discover new things about life they never knew before, and also the heartbreaking passage all mothers go through of letting go – realizing we are meant to equip them for the world, and one day they must leave. This page is dedicated to the little things that warm my heart as I watch them growing up, and to show God’s grace as He continues to preserve their lives and cause them to grow. Hope you enjoy – every moment. ~R

-Jackson has discovered the joys of the age-old game of throwing the sheet or blanket on top of your child’s head and then quickly removing it, putting it back on, taking it off again, etc. It is so cute though, because now it is a game to put everything on his head! Bryan was watching him the other day while I was sleeping in, and Jackson put his toast from breakfast on his head! He has done it with clothes, kleenex, necklaces. So cute!
-J finally says Mama! Woohoo!

9/19/08 – Jackie took a few steps to daddy after some coaxing! Seems like he’ll be walking any day now.
He has finally learned it. THE word. No.
He is super cuddly now. I sort of “forced’ him to fall in love with cuddling, but hey, it worked!
He pats my back when I pick him up sometimes, and will crawl heartily over to me to pull himself up and give me frequent hugs. We call this “snuggles”, or the baby version, “nuggles”. He is quite generous with his precious kisses when you ask, too. Such a heart stealer!
He is starting to mimic behaviors, like washing one’s hands, brushing one’s hair, blowing one’s nose, etc. So fun to watch!
